Kazakh, Israeli presidents discussed bilateral relations over phone

Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev has held a telephone conversation with his Israeli counterpart Shimon Peres today.

The parties discussed the status and prospects of developing bilateral relations. They noted the importance of practical realization of agreements reached during the Israeli President's state visit to Kazakhstan, including those on creation of a joint high tech fund.

The two presidents discussed the issues of interaction within the framework of international and regional organizations, in particular the CICA.

Besides, they touched upon the situation in the Middle East. N. Nazarbayev noted the necessity to adhere to the political-diplomatic methods in the maintenance of security and peace in the region.
