The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in assistance of Association of Jews repatriates from Kazakhstan and Central Asia organised an exhibition of artists repatriated from Kazakhstan, devoted to celebrating of the Constitution Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

President Nazarbayev declared the West Europe – West China transit corridor a national project Sept. 10 during a visit to Aktobe in Northern Kazakhstan.
The President attended a launch ceremony for the project. “Currently, freight from the Far East goes to Europe through China and by sea,” President Nazarbayev said.

On September 11th, the Russian city of Orenburg will host a Kazakh-Russian forum on inter-regional cooperation. The event will be attended by Presidents Dmitry Medvedev of Russia and Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan. On the eve of the event, President Nazarbayev gave an interview to the Russian TV channel Vesti.

In a speech delivered at the opening of the 3rd session of the Parliament in Astana, Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev outlined recent successes and underlined tasks for the rest of the year. “We have met all our obligations in terms of social security” said the President. “Over 5000 investment projects are under way in country regions, with 393 000 new jobs created. As a result, the real monetary income of the population has augmented in the first half of 2009. For the past decade annual monetary income of Kazakhstan’s population has grown on average five times.
