Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Israel Vadim Zverkov met with President of Israel Shimon Peres on February 7.

Mr. Zverkov informed the President about the main provisions of the State of the Nation Address by Nursultan Nazarbayev presented a day before. He underlined initiatives on improvement of social welfare of the citizens, intensification of foreign policy in light of Kazakhstan’s chairmanship in the OSCE in 2010, projects on modernization of transport-communication and energy infrastructure, agro-industrial complex and healthcare system.

ASTANA. January 15. Culture and Information Minister of Kazakhstan Yermukhamet Yertysbayev has met today with Minister of Science, Culture and Sport of Israel Raleb Majadele, Kazinform reports.

The Government of Kazakhstan decided to liberalize visa regime with respect to Israeli citizens.

Vadim Zverkov arrived in Israel as official representative of Kazakhstan a year and a half ago, with a swollen pocket and clear intention: to learn about innovation, Israel-style. "You may be the center of global politics, but that's not why I'm here," says the Kazakh ambassador candidly. "What interests us is economic relations with Israel. We aren't getting into the peace process."
