Todate, Kazakhstan exported 4.8 mln tonnes of grains of the harvest-2009, anincrease of 1 mln tonnes compared to the previous year volumes, declared AkylbekKurishbaev, the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on March 2.
Accordingto the Minister, the country exported grains to Iran, Afghanistan, countries ofthe Middle Asia.
Accordingto A.Kurishbaev, to date sea ports of the Baltic and Black Seas are closed forKazakh exports, due to large-scale export volumes of agricultural crops fromRussia and Ukraine. After releasing of the ports from grain volumes of thementioned countries, Kazakhstan will start own exports through the ports.
